With Disney Cruise Line setting sail again this past week after a lonnng break, we thought it would be a good idea to share some tips for sailing as a vegan on a Disney Cruise. While I have personally sailed as a vegan, it was before I took over this site, so I don’t really have any usable photos from that time. It was also a while ago, and things may have changed since I sailed. That said, we wanted to start with a way to treat yourself onboard with a vegan cake or cupcakes. We’ll explain how to order these specialty allergy-friendly treats on a Disney Cruise Line ship.
Pre-Ordering Allergy-Friendly Vegan Cupcakes and Cakes on Disney Cruise Line:
First, let’s take a look at the options available to pre-order before you set sail. Disney Cruise line offers an allergy-friendly (vegan) Mickey cake, and allergy-friendly (vegan) cupcakes, both available for pre-order and purchase. The first thing you’ll do is head here to the DCL OnBoard Gifts and Amenities page. From there, you can either enter your Disney Cruise Line reservation number, or select by a port of debarkation to see what’s available at each port for pre-purchase.
I’ll use Port Canaveral as an example here. There you can see the Disney Cruise Line allergy-friendly Mickey chocolate cake, an allergy-friendly chocolate cupcake, and an allergy-friendly vanilla cupcake:
The vegan Mickey Cake on Disney Cruise Line is $55.
You will need your reservation number to order the cake for yourself or someone else cruising.
The vegan cupcakes on Disney Cruise Line are $9.50 a piece. You also need the reservation number to pre-purchase. A bit pricey, but if you are celebrating, they can be a nice option.
Of course you can pre-purchase other gift sets and items for your cruise at that same link above. From there you can specify where you’d like them sent and all of the details. These cupcakes and cake are 100% vegan as they are with no modifications necessary.
You can see what they look like from a recent cruise shared with us on instagram from @snorris49
Ordering Vegan on Disney Cruise Line
As far as what is vegan food items are included in your Disney Cruise, we’ll have another post up for that linking everything soon. We also will be covering the new vegan options on the Disney Wish when it sets sail! You can also see what the vegan Champagne Brunch at Remy and vegan Dinner at Remy aboard Disney Cruise Line are like.
Until then, if you’d like to see what cruising vegan with Disney was like in the past, check out our friend Stacey Homemaker’s extensive post here. If you’ve been recently and have any updates you’d like to share, feel free to comment below or reach out to us on social media. We’d love to hear from you.
