Vegan Breakfast at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

One thing you can count on in recent times at Disney dining locations is the vegan options changing. Sometimes that’s a good thing, other times we miss what came before. In this case, with the new vegan breakfast option at Ale & Compass, we’re counting it as a win. Vegan options for Ale & Compass for breakfast used to be the Vegan Protein Bowl, while dinner remains the same with a quinoa, sweet potato and Field Roast sausage bowl.

Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club

For those unfamiliar, Ale & Compass is located in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, the sister property to Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Yacht Club is closer to the Walt Disney World Dolphin, while Beach Club is closer to EPCOT. They both share the incredible Stormalong Bay pool area, and you can conveniently walk between the resorts to get to both properties’ restaurants.

Ale & Compass is the Yacht Club equivalent to Cape May Cafe in location and open design as you walk toward the center of the two properties. Located right off the Yacht Club lobby, there is also a nice lounge where you can enjoy a drink before dinner. Ale & Compass received a complete refurbishment a few years back and with it some new options for vegans.

The previous Protein Bowl contained a tofu scramble and some house-made vegan sausage. This was never a big hit with guests and the dish has finally been replaced with Just Egg scramble, what appears to be Field Roast sausage, quinoa and some sweet potato spears. It looks as though they have adapted the dinner protein bowl and added Just Egg. So if you plan to dine at Ale & Compass for breakfast AND dinner, keep in mind you’ll be eating pretty much the same thing.

If you prefer the tofu scramble, you can still choose that according to the menu listing: Choice of Tofu Scramble or Plant-based Eggs with Plant-based Sausage, Quinoa, Sweet Potatoes, Chard, Kale, and Pickled Carrots served with Carrot-Ginger Dressing and Chocolate-Avocado Toast$17

Sarah said everything was delicious, and that the “chocolate toast” was random and kind of unnecessary but all in all it was a lovely meal. We thank Sarah for the mini-review!

You can also get a side of fresh fruit if you’d like to add that to your meal.

As with all Walt Disney World resort restaurants, you do not have to be a guest staying at the hotel to dine. Ale & Compass is a fantastic option if you’re wanting something different while spending the day in Epcot. Exit the park in between the UK and France via the International Gateway and it is a short walk or ferry ride to the Yacht Club Resort.
