Trying to find brunch at the Walt Disney World Resort can be a bit of a challenge. We found an affordable option at Olivia’s Cafe in Disney’s Old Key West Resort this weekend.
We recently posted a review of the vegan lunch and dinner options available at Olivia‘s Café. You can read that review here: Olivia’s Cafe Vegan Review at Disney’s Old Key West Resort
Today we are focusing solely on brunch. There are only a handful of places serving brunch at Walt Disney World Resort.
Vegan Brunch at Olivia’s Cafe in Old Key West Resort Walt Disney World
You’ll find Disney’s Old Key West Resort near Disney Springs. It is accessible by boat from Disney Springs or via bus from any of the theme parks.
Brunch is served at Olivia’s Cafe on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Regular breakfast and lunch menus are not offered on Saturdays and Sundays during brunch. Lucky for us, the vegan option is available on both the brunch and breakfast menus.
You’re going to want to order the Key West Hash ($15).
This dish is a mix of tamari-marinated tofu, roasted peppers, spinach, and tomatoes with fried potatoes.
The marinade for the tofu was outstanding and I finished my entire plate.
The offering was good, albeit on the smaller side. I was glad I had ordered a side of two vegan Mickey Waffles ($5) to go with it.
It was wonderful to be able to have something both sweet and savory to start my day. Ask for pure maple syrup and some vegan Earth Balance butter to go with your waffles and I also highly recommend the unsweetened mango iced tea here.
As a Southerner, I greatly appreciated the fact that they were fresh brewing their iced tea here instead of pouring it from a fountain.
