Disney recently teased the fact that a special limited-time menu would be coming to California Grill to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary milestone. Today the Parks Blog released the menu and dates for this new experience! We’re sharing the vegan menu items for this California Grill 50th Celebration menu.
As noted on the blog, “…as part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” California Grill will offer a limited-time three-course menu with dishes inspired by past favorites as well as new market-fresh creations.” And there is a vegan/plant-based item for each course of this California Grill 50th Celebration menu. Let’s check them out:
So it looks like for the vegan options at the California Grill 50th menu, we will have an Heirloom Apple Salad, with roasted honeynut squash, radicchio, almond feta “cheese,” pepita granola, and verjus vinaigrette. For the entree, it will be Handcrafted Squash and Mushroom Ravioli, with Chanterelle mushrooms, honeynut squash, herbed-pistachio pesto, and truffle-mushroom “cream.” Then dessert will be Lavender Sugar Doughnuts with coconut frozen dessert, blueberry gin jam, and pistachio crumble. These will probably be similar to the current vegan dessert of Blueberry Doughnuts at California Grill:
Plus, you’ll get a special viewing of Disney Enchantment. Watch this all-new nighttime extravaganza from the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This fireworks spectacular takes you on a journey beyond the ordinary and to a land of magic.
Price
Adult: $89 per person (ages 10 and up), plus tax and gratuity
Child: $39 per child (ages 3 to 9), plus tax and gratuity
Reservations open on September 23rd for reservations starting October 3rd and beyond. No end date for this menu has been announced at this time.
It looks like honeycut squash is in our future if we decide to enjoy this meal. I do wish they would mix it up a little and also figure out a way to have more than one option for vegans visiting so we get a choice too.
