Do you ever take a pool day went on vacation at Walt Disney World? Here’s a vegan option to enjoy poolside at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
The Polynesian Village Resort is a Walt Disney World deluxe hotel property. It’s located on the Magic Kingdom monorail line which makes it quickly accessible from the theme park and it’s two neighboring resorts, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
We recently noticed a new addition to the menu selection at the Polynesian’s main pools.
Vegan Orange Tofu at Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Village Resort
This is the Orange Tofu and Fresh Asian Vegetables ($9.99). It’s described as being served with enoki mushrooms and toasted sesame seeds.
When we initially read about this option we thought that this would be a dish with gooey, sticky orange tofu. Maybe even deep fried tofu that’s been breaded and rolled around in a luscious sauce.
What we got was anything short of that. In fact we could hardly taste any orange flavor coming through at all and the tofu was barely treated.
Along with the tofu was broccoli, a little bit of diced red bell pepper and a couple fried rice noodles on top for texture.
We ordered it at the hotel’s main pool, the Lava Pool, from the Barefoot Pool Bar which is attached to the large erupting volcano that sits on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon.
You can also find it on the menu at the Oasis Bar and Grill attached to the resort’s Oasis Pool.
Please note that you do not have to be a hotel guest staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to dine at the resort.
