Quick service vegan options in the Magic Kingdom are plentiful. Here are our thoughts on the Plant Based Sloppy Joe at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.
Theme Park: Magic Kingdom
Location: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
Dish: Plant Based Sloppy Joe
Price: $12.99
We don’t recommend this option much because it’s “an acquired taste”.
Vegan Sloppy Joe at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in the Magic Kingdom
This is the Plant Based Sloppy Joe and it’s available in Tomorrowland at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in the Magic Kingdom.
The entire sandwich is vegan as is.
Beyond Meat beef crumbles sit in a sloppy joe sauce topped with a mustard slaw composed of green cabbage, purple cabbage, carrots and celery salt. Everything is served on top of a vegan brioche bun that is free from dairy and eggs.
French Fries come on the side.
We find it hard to recommend this option. It’s a texture issue. The beef crumbles are like chalk. Chalk pieces covered in sauce. We wanted to love this offering but it just doesn’t work.
There are other quick service vegan options in the Magic Kingdom that are far superior to the Cosmic Ray’s Sloppy Joe. We would go for the Plant Based Loaded Slaw Dog at Casey’s Corner or the Plant Based Southwest Cheeseburger at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in lieu of this.

UGH. We tried this a few months back and it was AWFUL. bummed.
Yeah. It’s really the worst quick service option in all of Walt Disney World. I hope they replace it soon.
