We previously brought you our vegan review of Steakhouse 71, located at the newly remodeled Disney’s Contemporary Resort lobby as well as our Steakhouse 71 vegan video review. Since then, a new item has been added to their plant-based menu – a vegan Steakhouse 71 Burger. Of course we went to check it out and share our review here with you!
As of October 14, there is now a plant-based version of the Steakhouse 71 Stack Burger served at lunch. Similar to a “smash burger” that’s thin and cooked well-done, this is a messy, juicy burger. We are happy to report it IS a good burger. It’s the same $20 as the beef stack burger, though there isn’t a replacement for the pork served with the beef burger. I think it’s still a great option if you aren’t wanting a big vegetable Wellington at lunch. The bun is a gluten free bun which normally I’m not a fan of, but they grill it with vegan butter so it has some flavor. Even though mine was served with 2 top buns, I was okay with it.
You get TWO patties, just like the beef burger, which I *think* is just an Impossible burger sliced in half but I could be wrong. Served with fries, which if you order without the Parmesan, are vegan.
You can see it’s a good messy burger, and the cheese is actually melted!
Served with pickles (sweet), red onion, vegan mayo, and vegan cheese. You can choose waffle fries or a salad, but the pasta salad side is not vegan.
