Not all the offerings at the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World are what they seem.
Some dishes that aren’t vegan friendly can be easily modified vegan with a small adjustment. We discovered this amazing Plantain Salad at a preview that was held for members of the media. We had a chance to talk with the head chefs over the festival who were happy to point out the dishes that we could modify easily.

Vegan Sweet Plantain Salad at the 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival
Here’s how you’re going to order it.
At the register, order the Jerk-spiced Chicken. Don’t ask for any modifications here. Cast members don’t have the ability to do anything at the cash register. Leave the register and hand your receipt to the cast member handing out the food.
Tell that cast member that you’d like to substitute extra Plantain Salad for the chicken and to omit the Mango Chutney Yogurt.
What you’ll end up with is a delightfully refreshing Roasted Sweet Plantain Salad mixed with diced red onion and red bell peppers.
