Today we’re taking a trip over to the New Orleans themed Scat Cat‘s Club Cafe in Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort for some vegan beignets.
Beignets used to be served inside the resort’s quick service restaurant Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory but a few months back Disney moved them into the Scat Cat’s Club Cafe off the hotel lobby.
Scat Cat’s Club Vegan Beignets in Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter
The Scat Cat’s Club Cafe is a small longe situated right off the hotel lobby.
The Cafe is quick service and offers guests a variety of beverages as well as regular and seasonal specialty beignets in a relaxed setting.
Guests place their order at the bar and then have the choice of dining inside the cafe or outside, which is still under roof and inside air conditioned comfort.
The beignets can be ordered in two different serving sizes. Three beignets will run you $4.99 and six beignets are $8.49. Sadly the vegan beignets can not be made into Mickey shapes like their non-vegan counterparts.
If you want to jazz up your beignets you can turn your portion into a Beignet Sundae for $6.99 with a scoop of vegan chocolate or vanilla ice cream with strawberry topping sans whipped cream or you can just opt for a side of strawberry dipping sauce for an additional $1.99. We found the sauce to be totally unnecessary.
The beignets are pillowy soft and warm.
It’s basically a deep fried square doughnut dusted in powdered sugar. What’s not to love about that?!
Depending on the time of year, you can get seasonal flavors like gingerbread and even pumpkin spice.

After polishing off your sweet treat, take a stroll around the resort and soak up all the jazzy atmosphere.
Scat Cat’s Club Cafe is open as early as 6:00 a.m. so don’t be afraid to eat these bad boys for breakfast. They taste like a vegan Krispy Kreme.
