There’s a whole bunch of vegan breakfast offerings at the ABC Commissary quick service restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studio and we’re here for it!
Vegan Breakfast at the ABC Commissary in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been adding breakfast options to their menu boards to satiate the throngs of guests headed into Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge early in the morning for Rise of the Resistance.
You can now feed your vegan appetite inside fast casual restaurant ABC Commissary on Commissary Lane.
This location has an Art Deco feel to it and offers plenty of seating to hungry guests.
We found four vegan breakfast options for you to start your day with. Three are modified dishes and one is vegan as-is.
You can order the Plant-based Chilaquiles and Eggs ($9.49) straight off the menu as it is completely vegan.
The official Walt Disney World menu says this plant based breakfast offering is composed of fresh corn, black beans, caramelized onions, poblano peppers and rancho sauce with house fried tortillas, pico de gallo and avocado topped with vegan eggs.
There were neither beans, nor corn, nor avocado in our bowl and no tomato based rancho sauce either.
That being said it was still delicious and had an addition of mushrooms, read bell peppers and yellow bell peppers in the mix.
The cast member assisting us let us know that we could also modify the Smashed Avocado Toast and Egg ($9.99).
We only needed to swap the chicken egg for vegan egg to make this entirely plant based.
The plate comes with seasonal dressed greens including cherry tomatoes, crostini, JUST egg and a mound of smashed avocado for you to assemble your toast to your liking.
Another modifiable option is the Shrimp and Grits ($10.99) dish.
This one is going to require you to omit the shrimp and sausage and swap the cheese grits for regular grits.
The grits will get a topping of sautéed onions, mushrooms and red and green bell peppers. This is pretty much what the Chilaquiles were topped with.
For the kiddos, modify the Scrambled Eggs and Sweet Potato Bites ($5.99).
This offering comes with sweet potato tots and a small DASANI water.
Ask to swap the chicken eggs for vegan eggs and you’re good to go.
We hope these breakfast items are popular enough to stick around for a while.
