Disney recently came out with a summer menu update for Walt Disney World, including a vegan Korean-style Impossible burger available at Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts. We’ve already shared the other new vegan items they noted in this blog post; the new Fried Cauliflower appetizer and vegan Tourtiere at Le Cellier in EPCOT’s Canada pavilion, and the Impossible Meatloaf, also at the Port Orleans Resorts. We also have already shared this Korean-style Impossible Burger on our VeganDisneyFood social media accounts, but wanted to give you more detail here. UPDATE: We just checked the app and the new burger is now listed at Everything Pop food court at Pop Century. It did not appear at any other of the value resorts, but we’ve also heard Pop has the new Impossible Meatloaf as well, so hopefully it will be reaching the other value resorts soon! Let us know if you see it!
Previously, there was just a “BBQ Impossible Burger,” at both the Riverside Mill and Sassagoula Floatworks food courts in Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter respectively. That burger is still available at the value resorts as of now. We’ll update if they get this new burger there as well. Personally, I think this vegan Korean-style burger is a big improvement.
The burger is dry-rubbed with Korean spices, giving it a little kick, but not TOO spicy, especially when you eat it with the bun and cucumbers added. The sauce that comes with the burger is not spicy itself, and is a good addition. The fresh cucumbers are a great addition and really make it a unique burger. You can see the spices on our Korean-style Impossible burger reel we shared recently.
It is served with fries – be sure to ask for extra sauce on the side to dip the fries in!
Let us know if you try this new vegan Korean-style Impossible Burger at Sassagoula Floatworks or Riverside Mill. (Or the meatloaf option there as well!) Don’t forget you can enjoy vegan and gluten-free beignets at Scat Cat’s Club in French Quarter as well!
Also mentioned in the Summer Foods post was the latest edition of the plant-based allergy-friendly chocolate cupcake, which will be available starting May 31. It is currently the spring flower cupcake, soon it will be an ocean frosting themed cupcake. The inside will remain the same. We’ll update as soon as we see the new Seas the Plant-based Summer cupcake!
