There’s a new seasonal vegan cupcake at Epcot! It’s Blackberry flavor and you can find it at Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion.
Vegan Blackberry Seasonal Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot
Today we say goodbye to the long reigning Ice Cream Sundae Cupcake (may it RIP) and hello to the Blackberry Cupcake.
You can find this seasonal vegan cupcake in Future World West inside The Land pavilion.
This pavilion also houses Soarin’, the Awesome Planet film and the Living with the Land attraction.
Sunshine Seasons is a quick service food court located on the ground floor of the building. Head on over to the bakery section on the far left of the cafeteria to pick up your vegan cupcake.
The Blackberry Cupcake ($5.59) is being marketed as a “seasonal dessert”. The plant based leaf icon was not listed on the description placard in the case. We spoke with a chef here, who verified that it was in fact completely vegan as-is.
The base of this dessert is yellow cake with a blackberry compote filling. The cupcake is topped with a scoop of frosting which then gets a drizzle of blackberry reduction and a single blackberry garnish. It’s then rimmed with colorful Mickey sprinkles.
The cake is a basic vanilla. The filling is like a blackberry jam and the frosting is just vegan vanilla “buttercream” tinted purple.
If you’re wanting to take your cupcake with you, it is also available “to-go” in a sturdy plastic cupcake clamshell that will keep it from tipping over so you can take it back to your resort to enjoy later on. Just ask the cast member who grabs it from the case for you.
