With the recent changes in management in the Morocco pavilion, the new Small Plates menu at Spice Road Table is not the only change. Opening this week is an all-new snack cart within the Morocco pavilion. The best part – right now, ALL the options are vegan! For some unique snacks and drink options, keep reading to see what this new cart in EPCOT’s Morocco pavilion has to offer.
Where is the new Morocco Snack Bar Located?
One of the best parts about the Morocco pavilion is exploring the bazaar-like atmosphere and seeing what’s around each corner. As you venture into the marketplace, almost all the way to the currently closed Restaurant Marrakesh, look for the wooden camel with the fez. There you’ll find this new snack cart.
Check out the Morocco Snack Cart menu below:
Cast members were unsure why they didn’t include the plant-based icon on this menu board, but we confirmed all the snack items were vegan as-is.
Other than the snacks, you can get a shareable sangria in white or red, and some other alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
What’s Vegan at the Morocco Snack Cart?
Now let’s get to the snacks! Similar to the olives that come with the hummus and naan (or multi-grain toasts on the vegan version), the first option is Mediterranean Olives for $5.25. More than just similar, they are exactly the same mix of kalamata and green olives, peppers, cornishons (or gherkins), and whole garlic cloves in a house-made marinade. Again, I don’t usually like olives, but these are marinated so well, even I enjoy them.
Next up, some great snacking options you can take with you on the go. Crunchy roasted chickpeas come in a re-sealable (if you carefully take the sticker off and on) bag for $4.25. These are seasoned very well and you definitely smell and taste the Moroccan spices on these. They are not spicy, but full of flavor. I would definitely stop in for these again.
The last option is the mixed nuts and dates for $6. This is a little pricey, but they don’t skimp on the dates here. This is a different type of spice than the chickpeas, but one sniff and you definitely think Morocco. It’s an interesting mix with the savory Moroccan spice and the sweet dates, but a great combo.
Included in our bag were peanuts, almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts, and hazelnuts. As you can see, the bags are dated so you know when they are good until.
All in all, this is a great addition to the Morocco pavilion and EPCOT in general. A snack cart we know we can find something at, and it’s more than just chips or fries!
