Attention all plant-based foodies and vegan Disney friends! Get ready to have your taste buds blown away by the latest addition to the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. That’s right, the 2025 festival has upped its game with a brand new completer prize for the Garden Graze plant-based food item stroll. And let me tell you, it’s a game-changer! (The title of this post may have given away the surprise 😉 )
If you haven’t yet completed a Garden Graze experience during the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival…Picture this: you’ve successfully collected 5 stamps from purchasing 5 of the 10 vegan items listed in the festival passport. You’re feeling accomplished, satisfied, and maybe even a little bit full. But wait, there’s more! As a reward for your dedication to the plant-based cause, you’re handed a FREE Dole Whip in a souvenir plastic cup themed to the Garden Graze and the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. It’s like the vegan Disney gods have smiled upon you! No more festival foodie strolls where you can’t participate or enjoy the prize at the end. But this isn’t news if you are a frequent visitor to the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival…keep reading!
Now, here’s where things get interesting. In previous years, the completer prize Dole Whip was a delightful Mango Lime flavor. But this year, we were in for a shocking twist. As we patiently awaited our reward, we were handed a Pineapple and Vanilla swirled Dole Whip. Wait, what? Vanilla? In a vegan soft serve? Surely, this must be a mistake! (I definitely thought it was a mistake.)
Confused and slightly skeptical, we called over a chef and a manager to investigate. As we waited, I spotted a sign, hidden behind the straw dispenser, proclaiming that the completer prize was indeed a Pineapple and Plant-based Vanilla soft serve. Mind. Blown.
After multiple confirmations and even discovering the brand of the soft serve (KLIMON, which is “No Milk” spelled backwards – brilliant), we finally believed it. And let me tell you, the mix was absolutely amazing! It had been nearly a decade since I’d indulged in a pineapple vanilla swirl, as vegan soft serve options were practically unheard of at Walt Disney World until now. I am definitely going to try more of KLIMON’s products either way because it was so so good!
This exciting development has me hopeful for future collaborations and an expanded range of vegan ice cream options throughout the parks. My wish is that vegan soft serve becomes a staple at Disney! Everywhere that there’s a vanilla option, have one of the ice cream mixers be plant-based! Beyond the vegan movement, there are so many guests who are dairy-free for various reasons and would appreciate and benefit from this update. I’d love to see it at Aloha Isle or Sunshine Tree Terrace — that would increase my personal Magic Kingdom attendance and Dole Whip consumption tenfold! 😀 Who knows, maybe we’ll see KLIMON popping up at other Disney venues, bringing joy to plant-based enthusiasts everywhere!
So, if you find yourself at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival this year, make sure to take on the Garden Graze challenge and treat yourself to this incredible vegan Dole Whip SWIRL! Trust me, your taste buds will thank you, and you’ll be part of a groundbreaking moment in Disney’s vegan food history. 😎
But let’s not stop there! I petition to add this to Disney Cruise Line as well!! No longer will be sadly watch everyone getting their FREE (for the cost of a cruise) soft serve with daily changing flavors and walk away empty handed! Think of the possibilities! Disney, I believe in you, you can make this happen!! Until then, we can just enjoy some happy Garden Grazing – I know I will! See you at EPCOT!
