Vegan Bunny Dirt Cup Easter Dessert at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

This is now the second year we have a vegan Disney Easter dessert at the Grand Cottage in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort – it’s completely vegan as-is! The Grand Cottage debuted in 2022 in the lobby of the Grand Floridian. The Grand Cottage is similar to the giant gingerbread house during the holidays, in that it sells seasonal treats, however this little kiosk isn’t made of edible items.

The first year of the booth we had an Easter chick cupcake. The cake was similar to the allergy-friendly cupcakes available in the value and moderate resorts, so kind of dry and not that great. But last year the Disney pastry chefs came up with the Bunny Burrow Dirt Cup. Layers of chocolate cake and fudgy filling, topped with buttercream, crushed Oreos and an Easter decoration. Last year it was a little bunny butt and feet. See last year’s cup:

New for 2024, the Bunny Burrow Dirt Cup now features a fondant-line flower with a little fruit gummy, a mandarin pate de fruit to be specific. The dirt cup itself is delicious. Super sweet, doesn’t taste like you are ‘missing out’ on any flavors or textures just because it’s plant-based. For the record, each dirt cup comes with a label listing all the ingredients, so you can check for sure before you buy.

We love that Disney is including us with this special vegan Easter treat, especially since the other minor holidays seem to go by with no vegan options included in the (usually massive) Foodie Guides Disney releases. The Bunny Burrow Dirt Cup is not listed as plant-based on the menu board itself so be sure to share this post and spread the word about this vegan Disney Easter dessert! 😉

While you’re in the Grand Floridian, be sure to check out the incredible giant Easter egg displays put together by the pastry chefs and bakers. Some return each year, others are new, and this year I think almost all of them are new! Some of the intricate designs and decorations are mind-blowing!

Let me know if you give this vegan Easter Disney dessert a try and what you think!
