What’s Vegan at Everglazed Donuts in Disney Springs?

The newest kid on the Disney Springs block is Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. This new concept was created by the same owners of Splitsville, right across the walkway from the former POP Gallery where Everglazed is now located. A play on the Florida Everglades, Everglazed takes the pun to the next level with their slogan “Born and Glazed.” Will they have any Vegan options? Let’s find out!

NOTE: As of writing this, Everglazed is still in a preview/invite only food testing phase. They are officially opening Wednesday, January 6, 2021, but their menu is still in development, so items may change over time.

When you arrive inside Everglazed, you are greeted by Donut “Gardeners” who will take your order. The main building is very modern in design, with bright pops of color and AstroTurf lining the front of the counter and some of the walls. As with most new spaces, there is, of course, an instagram wall inside:

There is some bar seating and a couple of tables on the left, and counter seating on the right. As of now, we aren’t sure if there will be additional seating when physical distancing requirements aren’t a necessity.

As you wait for your donut or coffee order, you are directed where to stand and wait for them to call your name.

Another seating option is the outdoor “Donut Garden” with it’s trellis area and market lights, it really pops at night. We do hope they will add a little more “garden” to the garden in the future.

What’s Vegan at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew in Disney Springs?

Despite the name, Everglazed will actually be serving more than just donuts and coffee. They will offer a small sandwich menu including breakfast and lunch/dinner items. As of this writing, they do not offer any vegan sandwich items. Additionally they will offer sides of waffle fries, with some various seasonings – keep reading for more on that. So what can you order?

Vegan Purple Ube

This completely vegan yeast donut is flavored with ube. If you are unfamiliar, ube (pronounced “oo-beh” or “oo-bae”) is a purple yam from the Philippines that has been uber (sorry, couldn’t resist) trendy as of late. Its vibrant purple coloring is totally natural and it provides a natural, light sweetness to dishes. In this case, it is just the right amount.

Everglazed Purple Ube Vegan Donut

Coated in a vegan glaze and covered in purple sugar sprinkles, the Purple Ube is quite photogenic. The Purple Ube is one of the “New Classics” on the Everglazed menu, at $4.50. Depending on when you arrive, they may or may not be sold out of this item, but you can also check to see if they have any Purple Ube donut holes on your visit, which are $5 for a 12-count.

We were able to try this donut before the official opening and it was a great option, not overly sweet or full of frosting. A perfect pairing with a cold brew of your choice.

Anything Else?

Yes! Fries (seasoned waffle fries) for $5 are vegan as is, and Spicy Fries at $6 are topped with Buffalo seasoning, just hold the spicy mayo and you’ll be good to go. Check back later today or watch our VeganDisneyFood instagram account for photos.

What About Cold Brew?

While Everglazed has many cold brew drinks and spiked coffees, they also offer a regular Cold Brew on tap in 16oz for $4.50 and 24oz for $6, as well as Nitro on tap, 16oz for $5. To these you can add soy or oat milk as well as your choice of sweetener (sugar, Sugar in the Raw, Equal, and Stevia), or Monin brand vegan syrups: vanilla, hazelnut, salted caramel, cinnamon bun, or white chocolate.

Reese's Nitro Purple Ube

A fun option that’s modifiable is the Reese’s Nitro combo. Normally this Reese’s Peanut Butter Nitro coffee comes with the loaded Peanut Butter Explosion donut. Just ask to switch it out with the vegan Purple Ube donut and you’ll be good to go.

The Reese’s Nitro coffee is normally made with oat milk, peanut butter and chocolate syrups (both vegan, and Joffrey’s brand nitro coffee. The menu notes it comes with crushed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, but they have removed that from the recipe. Of course, to be certain, you should confirm when you order that all the ingredients are vegan. The coffee is delicious and a must-try for peanut butter fans! The Reese’s Nitro is $10 which includes the coffee and the donut (normally $6.50 and $4.50 separately).

UPDATE 2/2/21: Everglazed has added a new drink to their menu: the Purple Reign Chai latte. Made with sugar-free Chai mix (no honey added), coconut milk, ube syrup, coconut syrup. It’s topped with a vegan Purple Ube donut, with a dollop of vegan “buttercream” frosting – made with oat milk, Earth Balance, vanilla extract and confectionary sugar.

Purple Reign Everglazed

There was some confusion when we ordered this, as it was a new drink, and Everglazed carries a regular Chai mix that does contain honey. So when ordering, I would double check that they are indeed using the sugar-free Chai in your drink to keep it vegan.

This is a fun alternative to coffee but it is also very sweet (as are all of Everglazed’s options!) so be prepared for that.

We are also being told that now all vegan Purple Ube donuts will come with the vegan buttercream on top. Personally, I would ask for one without if that’s the case. The donut is sweet enough on its own, but I’ll let you judge for yourself.

They also have hot coffee (called “Hot Drip-Drip“) for $4 which you can add any of the above items to.

Under Cold Brew Classics, 24oz for $6.50 you would have to eliminate the whipped cream. Check to make sure no non-vegan additions have been made for each drink.

We tried the Vanilla Hazelnut Cold Brew Classic with oat milk, and with 3 pumps of syrup, it was pretty sweet! If you don’t like your coffee too sweet, I’d ask for just 2 pumps and go from there.

Everglazed will also offer Cold Beers & Seltzers as well as Soft Drinks.

We will continue to update this page as we try items or Everglazed adds more options to their menu.
