In today’s vlog my friends Kim, Suzannah, Nicole and I head to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida to sample the vegan options at signature dining location Cítricos.

We start off with a tour of the restaurant’s lounge and bar area, which do not require reservations. And then it’s on to the food.
The group is presented first with a complementary bread service which is vegan as-is. Our server initially offered olive oil for dipping, but if you prefer salted vegan butter, know that they do have it in house, you need only request it instead of the non-vegan butter.
For my appetizer, I opted for the modified Roasted Beet Salad with heirloom baby beets, radish and citrus frisée in a passion fruit vinaigrette. Skip the smoked feta. You can also order the Salade Verte here which is vegan as is with no modifications.
For entrees, Nicole asked the chefs to prepare her a plate of veggies, Suzannah got a creamy off menu risotto and I ordered the Quinoa and Provençale Ratatouille which is the vegan as-is menu offering with tomato confit, seasonal vegetables, exotic mushrooms and a chickpea sauce.
After that, all four of us dive in to the vegan Chocolate-Hazelnut Bar with coffee-coconut ice cream, creamy hazelnut-banana mousse, coconut milk ganache and a chocolate praline.
We end with a recap of all the hits and misses as the live piano player takes us out through the hotel lobby at the end of the night.
