Vegan Guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs select evenings throughout the months of November and December. The party itself begins at 7 p.m. and ends at midnight, however your party ticket will get you into Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m.
As day guests are filtering down Main Street U.S.A. and escorted to the exit, party guests are directed to the Main Street bypass on the right-hand side of town center. There are several “Christmas card worthy” photo opps in this exclusive area as well as your first opportunity for complimentary cookies. Party goers are given a Mickey shortbread cookie while vegans and guests with allergies are gifted a bag of Enjoy Life cookies.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Entertainment
There are a few shows that will take place in front of Cinderella Castle during the party.
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration is performed several times throughout the evening on the Castle Forecourt Stage (7:40pm, 9:25pm, 10:30pm, 11:55pm). This character extravaganza features Mickey Mouse and friends enjoying a Christmas party with music, festivities and fun.
A Frozen Holiday Wish takes place just before the first parade at 8:15 pm and ushers in the lighting of Cinderella Castle with holiday projections.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmas Fireworks Show begins at 10:00 pm. You are going to want to stand in front of Cinderella Castle for this one as the new show is more about castle projections then the fireworks.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is by far one of the lengthiest specialty productions that Walt Disney World puts on. The Christmas music is infectious, the parade floats pump out holiday scents into the air, there’s snow falling on Main Street and all of your favorite characters are dressed up in their holiday finery.
There was also a Photopass photographer wandering Main Street U.S.A. beforehand taking pics of guests as they awaited the arrival of the first parade float.
The parade runs twice per night (8:30pm and 11:00pm) so you can pick which viewing best fits your schedule or watch them both from different vantage points if you choose. It begins its journey in Frontierland next to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and ends at the foot of Main Street U.S.A.
At Tomorrowland’s Rockettower Plaza Stage dance the night away at Club Tinsel.
Also in Tomorrowland, Disney Junior Jingle Jam is hopping with your favorite friends from Disney Jr. inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Free Treats
Much like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is offering guests complimentary treats. Here’s a complete list of where to find them, this list may need to be updated for 2024, after the first party. Disney recently switched over to Partake brand, so we’ll have to see what they are giving out this year for allergy cookie and drink options.
You’ll find your Welcome Holiday Treat on the Main Street U.S.A. bypass when you first enter the park. Your guide map refers to this area as Market Street and it is only open until 8:00 pm. We were offered Enjoy Life Snickerdoodle Cookies here.
The Golden Oak Outpost is the only spot for cookies in Frontierland.
You can also grab Enjoy Life cookies at the Adventureland treat station by the Jingle Cruise.
Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland was serving up bags of Enjoy Life cookies and grape Fanta.
Also in Fantasyland, look to Friar’s Nook for additional bags of cookies.
In Liberty Square, enjoy a hoedown in the streets with live country music artists and The Country Bears and then head into The Diamond Horseshoe to take in the gorgeous decorations as well as pick up bags of cookies or GoGo Squeeze Applesauce.
In Tomorrowland you’ll find cookies at The Lunching Pad.
At Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café you’ll find apple juice, cookies and GoGo Squeeze applesauce.
There are supplemental exclusive specialty Christmas treats for purchase during the party and this year we have one vegan one! Keep reading to learn more.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party “Holiday Twist” Attractions
Five Magic Kingdom attractions receive a special holiday twist to them and they can be experienced during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
In Adventureland take a ride on the Jingle Cruise.
In Fantasyland holiday enhancements begin at nightfall on the Mad Tea Party teacups.
Tomorrowland’s Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will crack you up with corny holiday puns. Also in Tomorrowland, take a ride on Space Mountain where the Christmas lights and music are pumpin’. I especially enjoyed this overlay because instead of riding in complete darkness, you can actually see the track while riding the attraction.
Strap in for a drive on the Tomorrowland Speedway where you can take in all of the festive Christmas lights and displays set along the track.
And just past the stroke of midnight it will be time to say goodbye to the Magic Kingdom.
…but not before snapping a few more photos…and taking advantage of those special “Magic Shots”.
Vegan Dining Options during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party:
Vegan Holiday Treats for 2024’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party:
For 2024, Disney just announced the food options available exclusively during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and during regular park hours. This year, there are actually two plant-based dessert options. They are actually exactly the same, but they are available in two locations. Another option below is a Dole Whip option, which isn’t marked as plant-based, but they don’t usually list Dole Whips that way. We’d have to check on the boba pearls, but lately Disney has been using boba without gelatin. Here are the items:
Aloha Isle Refreshments Hosted by DOLE Packaged Foods
- Cranberry Citrus Float: Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry and fruity boba pearls topped with DOLE Whip (Non-alcoholic) (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only until 11 p.m.)
Cheshire Café Hosted by Minute Maid and Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
- Whoopie Pie: Chocolate cake sandwiched with marshmallow mint buttercream (New) (Plant-based) (Available at Cheshire Cafe during regular park hours until 6 p.m. and at Auntie Gravity’s during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only)
