NOTE: This post/review is for the original H2O Glow Nights Event from 2018. Our updated review of vegan options at H2O Glow After Hours event has the most up to date info.

Put your sunscreen away and get your party on at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park during H2O Glow Nights this Summer at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Read on for vegan food options at H2O Glow Nights at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.

This hard ticket event gives you “after hours” access to the water park’s rides, slides and lazy river as well as Toy Story themed character meet and greets with Buzz, Woody and Jessie.

The party officially kicks off on select nights at 8 p.m., but you can enter Typhoon Lagoon as early as 7 p.m. with your special event ticket giving you four hours to play until the party ends at 11 p.m.

Because we arrived early we headed over to Leaning Palms to check out the vegan offerings for day guests.

My favorite item is the Plant Based Bratwurst, but as you can see there are several offerings to choose from.

I’ve enjoyed this event so much that I’ve been two times this year. The first time was as a guest of my friends Steve and Carise where we were hosted during a media preview and the second time where we paid on our own dime to go.

Here’s a link to their review of the event: Why We’re Addicted to H2O Glow Nights at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

On our first visit we heard from Mark Dukes,  General Manager of Walt Disney World water parks (and fellow vegan) about the special “event exclusive” plant based offerings.

We were able to sample the Frozen Strawberry Lemonade and the Frozen Blue Razzberry Lemonade.

We also got a look at the two vegan offerings available at night, The Party Chips and Salsa and the Impossible Burger.

Both items I actually ended up ordering later on in the evening. The salsa is house and made and is killer. The tri colored chips it came with were a tad bit on the stale side though. The burger is a deep fried Impossible patty on a vegan bun topped with lettuce, banana peppers and a chipotle sauce made with vegan mayo. It’s served with a side of fries.

What goes good with burgers and fries? Craft beer of course. Typhoon has a special where you pay $14 for a souvenir cup filled with beer and then $7 refills thereafter.

New in 2019 is the Pineapple Soft Serve with Blue Raspberry at Typhoon Tilly’s and the Snack Shack.

And also this Light Up Popcorn Bucket filled with vegan “butter flavored” popcorn available at Main Change Popcorn Cart.

The sun was setting…. so I had to get myself a Green Glowrita margarita with vegan boba.

And speaking of the setting sun…

When the sun sets, the party gets turnt up with Partysaurus Rex and a live DJ spinning tunes on the beach at the edge of the surf pool. Specialty floats like parrots, ducks and fire breathing dragons turn loose in the lazy river and ride wait times are slashed down to practically nothing.
