Chips and Vegan Chimichurri Dip at Territory Lounge in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Territory Lounge Wilderness Lodge

One of my absolute favorite resorts on Walt Disney World Resort property is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The architecture, the atmosphere, the sights and sounds, and of course, the food! Wilderness Lodge has quite a few dining options from Whispering Canyon to Geyser Point and a few in between. Additionally, there are some vegan options worth noting – including the House Made Chips with vegan Chimichurri Dip at Territory Lounge.

Where is Territory Lounge?

Territory Lounge, the bar area next to Artist Point has a new vegan option – house made potato chips with a vegan chimichurri dip. We checked it out to share our review with you.

Nestled between Whispering Canyon Cafe and Artist Point, Territory Lounge offers plenty to look at in this bar area themed to exploring the western part of America.

Wilderness Lodge has been reopened to DVC guests since August of 2020, with all dining locations except Artist Point now opened as well, with physically distanced tables and reduced menus. Territory Lounge has been reopened for about a month, with their full drink menu, and a very limited “seasonal menu.” The cast member we spoke to anticipates the menu changing again once the Wilderness Lodge property opens to all guests with all rooms on June 6, 2021. For now, though, this is a delicious vegan option to enjoy in a very scenic spot.

What’s Vegan at Territory Lounge in Wilderness Lodge?

Territory Lounge seasonal menu

The House Made Chips with Chimichurri Dip are listed on the menu as having a “plant based option available.” We asked and were told it is basically vegan mayo with the chimichurri spices added. Chimichurri is usually a mix or parsley, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper.

The chips were thick and crunchy and had just the right amount of salt. Because this is available upon request, our server had to find a chef to prepare it for us, but that just meant we had a fresh dip when it arrived a few minutes later.

The chimichurri dip was delicious and the perfect blend of seasonings. I could’ve made a meal out of this snack! I really hope the chips and vegan chimichurri dip option sticks around, it’s such a simple way to ensure vegans have an option at a lounge location. It’s also *always* refreshing to have a non-replacement-meat option to mix things up.

What else is vegan at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge?

We recently visited Whispering Canyon to experience their vegan options as well, including the BBQ Jackfruit Dip (which was surprisingly delightful!). The Roaring Fork and Geyser Point also both offer an Impossible Burger (recently switched from Beyond burgers).
