Vegan Bratwurst Coming to the Epcot International Festival of the Arts

The official menus for the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts have been released and we are happy to report that there is a NEW dedicated vegan offering that has been added to the menu this year!

I spoke with a chef at a recent press event who confirmed that the NEW option coming to the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts will be the Plant-based Bratwurst!

The Plant-based Bratwurst will be topped with a spicy turmeric aioli, coffee barbecue jackfruit and vegan slaw. This brat will come in a warm vegan bun and it will be available at the Refreshment Outpost in Africa in between China and Germany in Epcot’s World Showcase.

There aren’t too many food offerings available to us plant eaters this year as this festival is fairly new, but there are plenty of other things to see and do while you’re in Epcot.

I just went to the Morocco booth and ordered the hummus and pita without beef. The lady said they don’t do that anymore. When I asked for a refund she kind of huffed and said they would do it for me today but that they don’t do it anymore.

We also visited the Morocco booth today to see if this dish could still be modified vegan at this year’s festival as it could be during the 2019 festival. The chef informed us that they had changed suppliers and that the pita chips at the 2020 festival now contain dairy.
